you need a web host
domain only buys you the address…now you need a place to store your webpages and make them available to everyone. if you’re not running a server, then you need a web host
there are free hosts and paid hosts…just so you know

You mentioned that you have purchased a domain name, but not a place to actually store the pages? You can run your pages from your computer (use it as a server) if you don’t mind leaving it on. Otherwise you have to either buy space or find a site that offers it for free. A common way to upload the files is by FTP, or SFTP, and there are any number of free FTP clients you can download (possible check). There might also be some information on uploading pages from the location where you bought your domain name.

Your page has to be hosted by a server. If you do not have your own, you can find a number of free hosts online. Free hosts will limit the amount of space and content you can use, so you need to be aware of that. Yahoo offers a free website to get you started.
